Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Devasthanam Educational Service Society was launched in the year 1985. This Society has been formed by the managing Trustees of the famous Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Temple in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu. This temple stands aloft surrounded by huge cluster of banyan trees symbolizing the very name of the place; that is “Koottalumoodu.” This means cluster of “Banyan Trees.” Goddess Bhadreswari is the presiding deity of this Devasthanam (divine place). It is located 10 kilometers south of Marthandam Town. The society has been started with the aim of imparting quality education to the under privileged of the area. The society already runs a Matriculation Higher Secondary School for the benefit of the people of nearby area. The society runs a craft and tailoring unit to uplift the economically downtrodden women of this locality. It has also established Koottalumoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari College of Education in the year 2008-2009 for the benefit of the people of the local area. The venture of a new school in 2014 to impart CBSE syllabus is another milestone in the educational service. By this, a long cherished desire of the local people is fulfille.
Our Devasthanam’s new school is not only making the child educated, self-reliant, confident, independent, truthful and selfless with noble characters but also taking care of the child’s five-fold personality development, i.e. Physical, Mental, Emotional, Intellectual and Spiritual through Panchanga Sikshanam
With the aim to facilitate holistic education for the learners, growth in co-scholastic areas like life-skills, attitude & values are also stressed along with the scholastic areas. Great care is taken for character building and development of inner culture by organizing different activities involving learners. Students are helpful to develop not only a better understanding of the subject but also creativity and team work through their involvement in teaching-learning process.
