Admission Procedure Play Group
The age requirement for
Play Group class is 2.5+ on 31st March.
LKG: The age requirement for LKG class is 4+ on 31st March.
UKG: The age requirement for UKG class is 5+ on 31st March.
Admission procedure starts from the month of October (Vijaya Dashami) which includes an interface with the child and the parents (The registration forms and prospectus are available in the school office free of cost or can be downloaded from the www.bds.school) I to VII: Admission for meritorious students from class I made only if there are vacancies in the classes.
The Registration Form Duly Filled And Received By The School Office Does Not Guarantee Admission In The School
Forms submitted with the signature of parents / guardian and without a passport size photograph will not be entertained.
The following documents are to be submitted at the time of admission
- Original and Xerox copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipality / Block Office (for admission to classes Play Group to class – VII)
- The original copy of School leaving certificate and character certificate from the previous school (for classes I to VII)
- Original copy of Progress Report from the previous School
- UDSIE (Unified District Information System for Education) information from present school
- Vaccination Record if any
- Three copies of recent passport size photographs
WRITTEN TESTS AND INTERVIEW DATES ( for class 5,6,7,8) First of all, the students should send their Preliminary Application forms and other certificates to the Secretary, Kootalamoodu Arulmigu Bhadreswari Devasthanam Trust, Painkulam. Thereafter, only the selected students will be informed separately about the date and time of Written Tests and Interview. The students who are not selected will also be informed of their non-selection.
SUBJECTS FOR THE WRITTEN TESTS Selection of students for admission to various classes is made strictly on the performance of the students in the Written Tests and the Interview.

ADMISSION RULES
1. The application for admission should be signed by the father or mother or guardian (only if the parents are not alive) of the student. All the necessary certificates should be produced during admission.
2. Fees once paid will not be refunded if a boy is withdrawn from the school or sent out of the school at any time before the end of the academic year. This will apply even in cases of expulsion.
3. parents should abstain from the following circumstances.
a) Taking the students to far off places for trips, tours during the school session.
b) Asking leave for the festivals, Poojas, felicitations, tours, other examinations etc.
c) Requesting to attend the marriage functions of the relatives, other than ward’s own brother's or sister's marriage.
d) Students suffering from severe physical and mental illness such as chronic diseases, heart diseases, epilepsy, bed-wetting, stealing, depression etc.
4. While taking admission to the school, the students are requested to submit the following information to the principal concerned:
(a) If the ward has undergone serious medical treatment already
(b) if special attention is required
(c) if the treatment is to be continued
(d) eye sight
(e) hearing problem.
Renewal of admission for the next year will depend on the character and conduct of the student in the previous year.
